There are some great utube videos of Lanae. Here is her version of Coldplay's "Fix You". I love it! My favorite part is when they kick it up to the faster tempo for the bridge. Lanae, you ROCK!

Music Monday

On Friday, one of my favorite radio programs, midday connection, had Lanae Hale on as a guest. Lanae is a singer/songwriter. She is so gifted, and you can listen to the podcast online at middayconnection.org. Anyway, come to find out, she is the daughter-in-law of one of my dear friends from my ladies Bible study! So please, listen to her powerful testimony on midday and go buy her album! You can even listen to her on itunes and youtube :)

A Living Prayer

A Living Prayer (From Alison Krauss-Lonely Runs Both Ways)

In this world I walk alone
With no place to call my home
But there's one who holds my hand
The rugged road through barren lands

The way is dark, the road is steep
But He's become my eyes to see
The strength to climb, my griefs to bear
The Savior lives inside me there

In Your love I find release
A haven from my unbelief
Take my life and let me be
A living prayer, my God to Thee

In these trials of life I find
Another voice inside my mind
He comforts me and bids me live
Inside the love the Father gives

In Your love I find release
A haven from my unbelief
Take my life and let me be
A living prayer, my God to Thee

Take my life and let me be
A living prayer, my God to Thee

Children of the Living God

I was listening to Fernando Ortega on Pandora radio and heard Alison Krauss's unmistakable vocals and violin in the background of Children of The Living God. They have two collaberations on the 1998 album In This Bright Hour. Why didn't anybody tell me about this great song? Here is the link to the song on You Tube.
